Victorville Sponsoring Free Dump Day Saturday

VICTORVILLE-(VVNEWS.com):  The city of Victorville is hosting a free dump day to Victorville residents on Saturday, April 23rd from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  The event is sponsored by the city of Victorville and  Victorville Disposal.

The location will be the Corner of Mesa Linda Avenue and Pinos Verde Drive in Victorville.

To get to the event location, residents should take Dos Palmas, then turn south on Mesa Linda. Proceed south on Mesa Linda and then turn onto Piños Verde and follow the signs to the event.

Items including garden trimmings, broken fences, old furniture, mattresses, appliances, computers, TVs, scrap metal, cardboard boxes, extra trash, and other debris can be disposed of, free of charge during the event.  Also included in the items accepted are a maximum of 9 car or light truck tires. Hazardous waste, compressed cylinders or asbestos materials will not be accepted at this event.

This free cleanup and recycling event is open to City of Victorville residents only and proof of residence will be required in the form of a water or other utility bill. No business waste materials will be accepted.

Those with mattresses, TVs, scrap metal, tires, e-waste and/or cardboard are encouraged to use the City of Victorville Recycling Drop-off Center to dispose of those items. The Recycling Drop-Off Center is located at 15164 Anacapa Road. It is open every week, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
