Motorists Hit a Body in Lanes of Traffic on 91 Freeway

RIVERSIDE-(VVNEWS.com):  A sigalert was issued on the westbound 91 freeway just east of the Central Avenue off ramp on Wednesday night at about 11:20 p.m.  The sigalert was issued after numerous reports of a lifeless male body located in the lanes of traffic about an hour earlier.

According to CHP officials it was reported that there were no vehicles in the area and it appeared as though the man was hit by a dark colored SUV and the vehicle left the scene. The reporting party also told dispatchers that several vehicles continued to hit the body as they drove through the area.

The #2 and #3 lanes of traffic remained closed until the Riverside County Coroner arrived on scene. All lanes were reported open as of 12:09 a.m. on Thursday morning.
