LOS ANGELES: (VVNEWS.com)- The Los Angeles Police Department is putting together a charity boxing event to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
The LAPD team is focused on giving back to communities by showcasing their boxing abilities and sportsmanship.
“Breast cancer and breast cancer awareness is an issue that is near and dear to several members of the Los Angeles Police Department and we are proud to support the fight for the cure,” stated a press release by the LAPD.
The main event will take place on Friday, July 1, 2016, in the Belasco Theater located at 1050 South Hill Street in Los Angeles. Doors will open at 5:00 p.m. and tickets will be available at the door for $30.
Those who attend can expect to see: LAPD Chief of Police Charlie Beck, Oscar De La Hoya, Members of the LAPD and NYPD Boxing Team, Santa Monica Fire Department, Pasadena Police Department, and Members of the California State Athletic Commission.
