22-Year-Old Arrested For Homicide That Occurred On Easter Of 2016

FONTANA – The Fontana Police Department arrested a 22-year-old man for the Easter Sunday homicide that occurred in 2016.

The suspect, Gabriel Reyes, was arrested by detectives on March 1, 2017, for a drive-by shooting that took place on March 27, 2016, in the 8500 block of Kaiser Avenue in Fontana.

Investigators have been working on the investigation for the past year and developed leads pointing to Gabriel Reyes as being involved in the homicide.

Authorities say the shooting is believed to be gang-related.

Reyes was taken into custody last night at his residence on the 16200 block of Arrow Blvd in Fontana. Reyes was booked at WVDC for PC187, homicide. Reyes is believed to be an active gang member.
